Kate Tsoukalas is a Software Development Engineer in Test at Microsoft. She has worked for several years on Windows Phone after completing a Master's degree in Computing Science at Simon Fraser University with a focus on Information Retrieval/Data Mining. In her spare time, she enjoys playing ultimate frisbee, reading science fiction, and photography.

Kate has been involved with the Grace Hopper Conference since 2007. For 2011, she is actively involved with the ABI Ambassadors program. She is blogging the conference on her personal blog and tweeting on Twitter.
