Abstract

Healthcare and biomedical informatics are widely seen as solutions to the woes of our healthcare system. Women seem to be especially attracted to these fields, perhaps because they want to make a difference. In this panel, we will explore the wide range of opportunities for computing professionals in the world of medicine, biomedical research, and healthcare through the stories of our participants, who represent a range of career paths.
