Abstract: Research has shown that babies do matter when working within and graduating from academia. Not only does bias play a part, but also managing new responsibilities on top of work-life balance presents new challenges. In this panel we will discuss whether graduate school is a ‘good’ time to become pregnant, and what should future mothers know about pregnancy? Our goal is to create a semi-informal discussion and raise awareness.
